Sometimes life takes funny detours:) and last year I was asked to host a TV show, called “Sy, Sy, Sy!” that was created to boost Swedish teenagers and schools so they would take crafts and DIY more seriously. It was a blast making it, especially since the teenagers I had the chance to work with were the sweetest peeps and it was such an honor for me to meet them at this early point in their creative journeys.
We recorded eight episodes in which viewers got to follow the stories of these eight kids as they designed and sewed their own clothes. The show was based on my designs and patterns and the underlying message was about creativity, sustainability and taking back the know-how and “can-do spirit” that I believe we all have within us.
